How do I send a group text message from my iPhone?

The first step is to setup your groups/lists.  If you already have groups setup in Google, you can sync them with iPhone using the Contacts Sync app. 

Once you create your groups/lists, you can then send a group message using the standard Contacts app on your iPhone. Open the Contacts app, navigate to the Lists menu, and then press and hold the desired group/list.  A context menu will then appear that allows you to select "Message All" as shown below:
